Bronze age Berezovaya Luka settlement: life support system reconstruction
The article classifies archaeological material according to economic activity forms of Berezovaya Luka settlement to reconstruct life support system of the Eluninskaya culture population, 21st-28th centuries BC. The primary branch of food production was cattle-breeding while hunting and fishing played secondary role. These economic activity forms were the main sources of raw materials for homecraft - bone carving and furriery.
Raw materials for stone milling, wood working, pottery industry and bronze foundry were delivered from different Altai parts; from nearby surroundings of the settlement (clay for pottery industry, wood, sedimentary rock) to faraway deposits of complex ore, tin (Rudny Altai) and quality rock sources - flint (Gorny Altai).
Life support system developed by Berezovaya Luka population was optimally adapted to forest-steppe environment and geographic conditions which let them work out certain stereotypes, survival and decent development strategies in the framework of complex diversified cattle-breeding economy.
