Investigation of mechanical properties of salivary stones

Measurements of microhardness for salivary stones with various structure and composition were carried out. Essential influence of stone's structure on its local mechanical characteristics is obtained. In case of salivary stones with several nucleus, periodic changes of microhardness in neibourghood sites was shown. The received data is helpful for forecasting features of destruction of salivary stones and for development of new methods of their treatment
