A comparison of similarity of landscape structures in physiographic provinces of the Russian Altai was made on the background of landscape types. Based on the intersection matrix, the measures of similarity and inclusion were calculated with the Sorensen and Jaccard indices. These measures are widely used in the comparative floristics and geobotanics, but less often in landscape studies.
