A Model of Melting Ice

Melting ice is considered as a solid twophase medium consisting of water and ice. The mathematical model is based on the equation of mass conservation for water and ice with phase transitions, equations of motion of the phases in the form of Darcy’s law and the equation of heat balance of the snow. Ice is considered as poroelastic medium.
