Revolt in the Bratsk District of the East Siberian Region in Spring of 1933

The article is devoted to a major anti-government peasant uprising in the Eastern Siberia in the spring of 1933. Оn the basis of FSB documents the author analyzes the reasons for the uprising, shows the steps and repression by military force, and also evaluates the number of casualties on both sides. As a historical background he adduces the facts of political repression in the East Siberian region.
