The Question about the Provisions Concerning Kirghiz Land Tenure in the Politics of the Russian Empire in the Steppe Region and Turkestan (End of the XIX - Beginning of the XX Century)

Basing on wide range of historical sources including data from the Russian State Historical Archive the research considers cooperation of the authorities in forming the Kirghiz land tenure and in providing the migrants with the plots of the land. The article reveals the role of the land problem in the national politics in the Steppe Region and Turkestan General-Governorate at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries.
