Alexis de Tocqueville about Events and Causes Which Lead to the American Revolution of the XVIIIth Century

One of the pivotal problems in Alexis de Tocqueville’s works is the problem of the social revolution. He studied the problem by examining all major events of the revolutionary process at his time, including the facts illustrated the American revolution of the late XVIIIth century. Developing his concept de Tocqueville made considerable efforts to describe events leading to the revolution and revealed its causes. This aspect of de Tocqueville’s ideas has not been thoroughly studied. This article presents an attempt to analyze this part of de Tocqueville’s works
