In the article the basic concepts of middle class developed in domestic sociology in which frameworks there are qualitatively ambiguous theoretically-methodological and methodical versions are considered. On the basis of long-term empirical researches in the Altai Territory the basic socially-status, world outlook and behavioural characteristics of representatives of middle class come to light.
