The problems of methodology to research category #measure# are analyzed in this article. The author analyzes positions of scholars on this issue and points the lacuna in the law science. He carries out critical remarks and his own opinion. The author considers that the avoidance of extremes and use of philology and philosophy knowledge are the main methodological precondition for researching category #measure# in law science.
