Management of Socio-Economic Development of Municipalities on the Basis of Balanced Scorecard

The author underlines the scientific and practical importance of searching new approaches to estimate the effectiveness of municipal government. It is substantiated that between modern cities and large corporations one can draw an analogy which is the objective basis for adaptation of the balanced scorecard methodology for municipality as structural economic unity.
