Studies on Spectral Water Transparency and Chlorophyll Concentrations in Floodplain Lake (Upper Ob Basin, Altai Krai)

The results of measuring spectral transmittance in the wavelength range 400-1000 nm in autumn 2011 shows the relationship between spectral transmittance and concentration of chlorophyll a, determined by the standard extract method. The empirical transparency according to Secchi disk on the content of chlorophyll cited from the literature for different types of reservoirs was compared with the findings of our spectral measurements.
