Party-Administrative Elite of the USSR in the Domestic Historiography on Boundaries of XX-XXI Centuries

The paper examines the specific character of modern historiography achievements and gaps in studying the USSR party-administrative elite. At the end of 1990s research positions were formed in terms of democratization of thinking. The newest scientific positions evolve in relation to genesis and mechanisms of the administrative functioning of Soviet nomenclature.
