Definition of Morpho-Functional Characteristics Typical of Sportsmen with Different Somatotypes according to J. Tanner’ Classification

Morpho-functional characteristics of sportsmen with different somatotypes are identified according to J. Tanner’ classification. Gineko-morphic sportsmen have more asthenic figure and andro-morphic sportsmen - more hyper-sthenic figure. The highest rates of the functional state of organism (IPC PWC₁₇₀) have the representatives of the meso-morphic somatotype.

Key words: anthropometry, somatic sexual differentiation, physical development, physical efficiency, maximal oxygen consumption.
