Composition as Traditional Philological Object: Form and/or Content

The category of composition was considered as the phenomenon of form or the phenomenon of content in philology. The first approach identifies composition with structure, the second one identifies it with plot and story. It brings up the problem of differentiation/non-differentiation of the number of categories in the theory of text.
