The approach to modeling the process of forming the coating's lamellar structure under plasma spraying is considered. Dependencies for calculation of functional characteristics of coating (porosity, adhesion strength, roughness) are introduced. The results of the computing experiments which characterize porosity and adhesion strength of coatings depending on particles# velocity are presented. They allow, with other things being equal, to optimize the spray conditions.
