The Main Stages of Polygraphy Development in the Republic Kalmyk

In this article the history of origin, formation and intensive growth of polygraphic industry in Kalmykia at the ХХth century is considered. The process of dynamic development of one of the main trends in printing is analyzed on the basis of rich archival material and other sources on this problem. The author makes an attempt to determine the role of polygraphy in the cultural construction in the Republic.
