The given work is devoted to the many-sided images of revolutionaries who have been represented on the pages of periodicals in the Ural Region during the First Russian Revolution. With the help of various articles a reader has formed a certain image of a revolutionary. This image is a result of subjective perception, i.e. the whole set of ideas of a person formed by different social groups. During the considered period the press has turned into the powerful institute of a political life.
