Zonal Structure of the Altai Mountains

The authors allocate Great Altai three structural zones of mountain relief, that is: proper mountain zone, cavity and mountain zone and mountain and plain zone. Interactions between these zones reflect the main features of mountain country internal structure. This investigation draws conclusion about polychronic character of orogenesis.
