Sub-regional Nature-management Systems of the Russian Altai: Landscape Principles for Establishment and Assessment

The author proposes his own approach to defining sub-regional nature-management systems in the mountain area. Nature-management systems are interpreted as prerequisites and limitations in various types of usage. Within the territory of the Russian Altai forty sub-regional nature-management systems were defined.
