The Translator's Commentary on an Intellectual Detective Story

The article discusses the translator's commentary as a way of fiction interpretation. It describes different traditions (Russian and foreign ones) to comment on an intellectual detective story. The article shows some types of the commentary used by E. Kostyukovitch in the process of U. Eco novels translation into Russian.
