The article deals with the problem questions concerning realization principle of competitiveness in a jury trial. The author considers the given principle from a position of equal rights for the prosecution and the defense in the process of collecting, checking and estimating evidences. The role of the judge in the given activity is investigated. As a result the author offers recommendations to improve a jury trial by means of working out tactual features for the court, the prosecution and the defense.
