The concept of stage-by-stage introduction of a jury trial in the Russian Federation is considered in the article. Based on the legislative analysis the authors come to conclusion that the jury trial was created not as a legal experiment, but as a legal reality. Stages of the introduction of a jury trial are phases of the realization of constitutional rights of the accused to trial by jury.
