The Experience of Municipal Formations Enlargement in Russian and Foreign Practice

The article analyses foreign experience in a number of the Russian Federation subjects including Altai Territory concerning radical change of the local self-government territorial structure. The article touches upon the formation of the municipal agglomerate centers as one of the strategic directions of the spatial development and transformation of the Russian Federation subjects.
