The Role of the Armenian Church in Education and Establishing Closer Ties with the Russian Government (XIXth - the Beginning of XXth Century)

Closing in the Armenian Church and the Russian government got on well. But then the tsar government was planning to turn the head of the Armenian Church into the ecclesiastic head of only Russian Armenians depriving the Supreme Catholicos of the oecumenical status.
