The article examines the statistical material received in a process of creation and processing database of Republic Mordovia natives, killed during the Great Patriotic War. It has allowed to characterize losses according to such showings as: the year of birth, call to service, age, national structure and death reason of servicemen. At the same time the comparative analysis of losses among the population of Russia and Mordovia at this period was made.
