To the Problem of Periodization of Russian Orthodox Church Missionary Work in Siberia

This article considers influence of tolerant policy on converting native Siberian inhabitants to Christianity since 1764 till 1799. The author illustrates contradictions between temporal and sacred powers in Tobolsk eparchy in deciding religious problem. The moving forces and trends of Christianization were retraced on an example of Khakas people.
