The Peculiarities of Interethnic Conflicts between Russians and Buryats Caused by Land Use during Revolution and Civil War

The article dwells upon a problem of interethnic conflicts between Russians and Buryats caused by land use and their significance for the development of Mongolian and Buryat nationalism. The author comes to the conclusion that one of the main reasons of legitimacy of nationalists# activities aimed at the creation of national territorial authonomy was a protection of burayts# land interests in conflicts with Russian peasants.
