The US State Regulation of Chinese Immigration (the 2nd half of the 19th Century)

The article analyzes the problem of the United States immigration policy in the second half of the 19th century. On the wide documentary base the author singles out the stages in solution of immigrant problem by President and legislative power and the specific features of the US Congress discussion. The special attention is paid to the US President#s role in formation of immigration policy.
