The Eparchy committee of the Orthodox missionary association was organized in 1875 to propagandize the Orthodoxy among non-Russian population in the Orenburg eparchy. The main direction in its work was organization anti-Islamic orthodox activity among Kazakh and South Zauralye population, religious and moral education of Russian peasant-migrants, organization parish schools, support of new orthodox missions in the Orenburg eparchy.
