The Problems of Preservation and Restoring Burial Memorial Places of Foreign Prisoners of World War II in the Western Siberia: 1943-1990s

The peculiarities and specific international, state and regional policy concerning some problems of studying, safe keeping and restoring of foreign prisoners burial memorial complexes which were dislocated in the Western Siberia (1943-1990) during and after World War II and on the modern Siberian territory are analyzed in this article. These burial memorial complexes are allocated in Kemerovo, Novosibirsk, Tumen Regions and Altai Territory. An order and organization of burial memorial complexes, deliberate destruction of military cemeteries on the territory of Western Siberia and some international legal acts are researched on the base of numerous archive sources. Today more then 51 burial memorial places of foreign prisoners of World War II were identified in the Western Siberia. This scientific article is based on the research of many unknown archive documents.
