Role of Russian Clerical Missionaries in the Peking in the Forming of China's Image in Russian Society in the 19th Century

The activity of Russian Clerical Mission's members in Peking in researching and translating sphere is shown on the basis of studying Russian periodicals. Some works of priests and scientists where the fragments of history and culture of Chinese society and the peculiarities of political and economic development of Ching Empire are analyzed. The author appreciates the contribution of Russian scientists into the development of Russian-Chinese relations.
