Interspecific Compatibility of Tetraploid Wheat Triticum durum Desf. and Triticum timopheevii Zhuk.

Five sorts of durum wheat were interbreed with three forms of T. timopheevii under conditions of four different vegetations. It was stated that the compatibility of the species is high. The initial heterozygosity of maternal form hasn#t effect on the hybridization success. The environmental factors have essential influence on the interspecific compatibility results.
