To the Question of Interconnection of the Language and the Consciousness: Formation of the New Linguistic Paradigm

The purpose of the article is to summarize the results of the cognitive studies in linguistics and to expose the signs of formation new methodological foundation for language studies.

The article discusses the ways of development of cognitive ideas in linguistics during the latest 20 years, their premises and results. The article reviews the conceptions of the consciousness and the language offered by the representatives of cognitive studies and provides their critical assessment.

The conclusion that today we can see rather obvious evidences of the formation informational paradigm in linguistics is made.
