In a framework of classical model for binary alloy solidification the problem of determining the initial distribution of concentration of admixture through the given concentration of admixture in solidified part in the end of process is under consideration. The solution is determined by means of minimization of a functional constructed for the problem. The existence of a solution is proved. Also the self-similar solution that provides the zero minimum for the functional is constructed.
