Historical Development of the European Free Trade Association as an Alternative Project to European Integration

The article is dedicated to the problem of creation and activity of the European Free Trade Association. This organization was established in 1960 as an alternative project to European integration. Author examined the reasons of alternative integration project realization on the European continent, main stages of EFTA development, historical issues influenced on a development of the Association.
