Foreign Policy Aspect of Annexing the Semirechie Territory to Russia in 1820-1860#s: Russian Historiography of the Problem

The middle of the 19th century was the beginning of a new stage in Russian policy in Central Asia. As a result of active foreign policy conducting by Russian government Southern-Kazakh and Northern-Kyrgiz territories were annexed to Russian state. In the article the author determinates the degree of exploration of this problem in Russian historical research works and defines the peculiarities in elucidating of separate aspects of Russian policy in.
