This article provides material from central Russian archives and regional periodicals about development of technological cooperation of the enterprises of the Kemerovo Region heavy industry with the profile enterprises in the Peoples Republic of China. According to purchasing of technologies, equipment and training of experts, cooperation was favourable to China, and from geostrategic point of view, the gain of the ally in Asia - was favourable to the USSR. The most skilled experts and manufacture organizers from Kuzbass worked in China. They have laid down the foundation of heavy industry and modern economic power in the Peoples Republic of China. The break of communications has been negatively met in Kuzbass.
