Islam #Modernization# in the USSR. 1950-1980 (on Materials of Sermons by Muslim Clergy of the Center Volga Region)

On an example of the imam#s sermons аctivity in the Center Volga Region the tendency of adaptation islam to socialist conditions is studied in this article. The purposes, contents, forms, features, new plots of sermons given by imams in 1950-1980th are analyzed; the crisis moments of the given process are investigated.
