Education in Settlements of the Siberian Cossacks in the Second Half of 19th Century

Describing a system of the Siberian cossacks school education, author pays his attention on functioning of institute of school trustees. They were elected on country meeting among the most respected cossacks, who had served in army, or in civil departments.

A wish to obtain higher education among cossacks and their children was expressed in aspiration to give to the Cossack children an opportunity to graduate the Siberian military school. The reception of the higher civil education was encouraged with granting Cossacks-students from army treasury.
