The article is devoted to one of the first stages of the struggle against cosmopolitism in Siberia. The author consistently examines the attack on the literary and theatre figures, artists and journalists. Two main forms of influence on the intelligentsia have been revealed. They are collective meetings and published works in periodical press. Some facts about #cleansing# cadres have been used.
