The problem under analysis is immigration as a reaction on modern demographic processes in Europe and other parts of the world. Under the circumstances of depopulation and ageing of European population and stable natality in developing countries migration is inevitable, objective process. Europe considers immigrants to be a mean for maintenance of demographic balance and salvation of economic problems. At the same time immigration forms a huge complex of political and social-economic problems. In the best way they are shown on the example of Muslim immigration. The aim of this paper is to analyse this problem in the framework of common migration tendencies on the example of the French Republics a state with wide experience of multi-ethnic contacts in colonial and post-colonial era.
