The paper deals with several different types of archival sources which help us to enlighten clearly the period of repressions in S.I. Rudenko's biography. They consist of the examination records, the materials of ideological discussion in Russian museum in 1931-1932, Rudenko's memoirs, letters etc. Their total complex examination gives us the opportunity to understand this difficult period of his life much better.
