The article is considering the issues of cultural attribution of settlement complexes located in Altai assigned to the Neolithic epoch. It presents us the analysis of modern scientific ideas relative cultural attribution of the region's settlement complexes, as well as that of periodization schemes of the Neolithic epoch. While constructing the above mentioned periodization schemes the settlement Tytkesken-2 located in the Middle Katun is taken as the monument of reference (etalon monument) being compared by the author with the monuments of Neolithic epoch found in Priobskoye Plato, Steppe and Forest-steppe Altai and Verchneye Priobye, whereas this comparison is being made only with already published scientific materials. Having analyzed the whole scope of materials, the author comes to the conclusion that Neolithic complexes of the "kiprinsky type" relate to Eneolithic epoch.
