The paper is devoted to the non-published paintings and graphic works on the Altaian shamanism created by G.I. Choros-Gurkin (1870-1937), the graduate of St.-Petersburg Academy of Arts, a student of I.I. Shishkin. In his art he was able to unite the achievements of the Russian realistic school with the traditions of the national artistic thinking. Only that kind of deep understanding of both systems and the desire to show to the world a special shaman outlook defined the compositional exactness and stylistic entity of his works.
