Regional ethnographer N.S. Gulyaev (1851-1918) made a valuable contribution to the study of ancient history of Altay. In the documents of Center of archives fund storage of Altay Territory, Institute of material culture history of Russian Academy of Science (IMCH RAS), Russian Ethnography Museum (REM) were very well preserved data of the researches in the locality of village Bolshaya Rechka (in the present village Chauzovo Topchikhinskii region of Altay Territory). Collections of N.S. Gulyaev are kept in four Russian museums: State Museum of History (city of Moscow), Peter the Great Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography (Kunstcamera) RAS (city of Saint-Petersburg), Altay State Museum of Regional Studies (city of Barnaul) and A.V. Anokhin National Museum of Altai Republic (city of Gorno-Altaisk). Introduction of the revealed and already known sources into science circle will give an opportunity to solve many topical problems of modern Siberian archaeology.
