The Soviet Moslems of the Volga Region (Second Half 1940-1980th)

In the article conditions in which activity of Muslim religious associations in the USSR proceeded, as a whole, and the Volga region, in particular are analyzed; socially-demographic characteristics of Muslims-Tatars of the Volga region are resulted; mechanisms, forms and methods of realization and feature of a state policy-church concerning an Islam at a regional level are investigated.
