Church Parish Schools in the System of Public Education of Kursk Region in the End of XIX - the Beginning of XX Century

The following questions are discussed: the level of literacy of people before the opening of parish schools, the dynamic of growth of the number of church parish schools in Kursk region, the article tells about the process of education, characterizes the teaching of different subjects, there are also listed positive, as well as negative features of activities of parish schools.
