History of Development of Russian Heraldry in XII-XIX Centuries

It briefly observes main preconditions of origin of arms and seals of Russian cities, their typology in chronological order. Furthermore the peculiarities and principles of origin of Russian city emblems in various historical periods are also included in this work. This article highlights the differences and originality of Russian Arms compared to western heraldic tradition.
