This article gives a solution of topical problems of museum communication as a means of modernization of museums of higher education institutes in Western Siberia. We present the practical work results of this group of museums in information and communication technology. We focus on the new approaches to interpretation and transmission of the historical, cultural and natural heritage of Western Siberia.
