To the History of the Returning the Kalmyks in Russia: a Sight through Centuries

In 2005 the president of Kalmyk Republic K.Ilumzhinov initiated the national project directed on association of all Kalmyk people. The president offered to overcome historical split of the Kalmyk people (which happened in 1771 century as a result of the escape a part of the Kalmyks in Tsin China) by means of the integration of the Chinese Kalmyks living in China PRC with Volga#s kalmyks. Taking into account the fact of forthcoming and political event that is not important only for Kalmyk Republic, but also for Russia as a whole. It is rather urgent to address to history and to explore – how the question about returning of the Kalmyks in Russia was solved between Russian and Tsin China in the end of the XVIII century. Author using wide range of archives data examines the decision of the #torgout question# in Russian-Chinese relations in the last quarter of the XVIII century.
